The Deadline by Jackie Kabler Weekend blitz tour: Book Review

Hello again, it's finally time for me to share my review of Jackie Kabler's new mystry title, The Deadline. I hope you like it.
And don't forget to enter the giveaway!

Plot: Cora Baxter works in tv so deadlines are not new to her. But this time she's facing a fifferent kind of deadline: her friend Sam is being wrongly accused of killing her boyfriend Marcus. In fact, all evidence points to her involvement. But Cora is having none of it and is stubbornly dtermined to prove her friend's innocence before it's too late.

Review: Before anything I want to make one  point clear: Samantha is super lucky to have the kind of friends that she has, not just Cora, whose obviously the most stubborn and determined of the lot. But everyone who stood by her and belived in her innocence. A lot of people are not so lucky. That said, this was my first introduction to the author and what an introduction it was. The book is simply super! My head was spinning 99.99% percent if the time trying to guess who had killed poor Marcus. Was it Katie Chamberlain, Jack or the mystery man. I don't want to incur Jackie's wrath by giving away anything, but it wasn't any of these people. It was someone totally unexpected. I guess that's the mark of a true mystery, right?
And speaking of, that Jackie sure knows how to spin a story! Just when I thought the mystery was about to be solved, it lead to yet another one. On one hand, I wanted it solved and the evil culprit thrown in jail so poor Sam could get out and on another hand, I didn't want the excitement to end.
Plus, Jackie works in tv in real life (sure you guys in the UK are familiar with her), so the book provides a sort of behind the scenes look at the lives of the people who work there and I really really liked it.
This book is part of a series, so am sure there's more to come and I can't wait.
